About the Artist

      A mom of two lovely young ladies, Jasmine Z. Aquino or “Jaz” as she is fondly called, is an independent songwriter and music enthusiast from Tarlac City. She started writing poetry in high school, a skill that helped hone her ability to write beautiful lyrics. She names her father, composer Benigno B. Aquino as her early influence and inspiration, who taught her guitar at the age of 6. She also counts singer and composer Odette Quesada, as well as international recording artist Adele among her current musical influences. Apart from writing, she devotes her time to singing in church with the local choir. When asked how she comes up with the lyrics to her songs, she says that the inspiration comes at her highest or lowest point. That way, she is able to communicate her emotions through her lyrics.
